As systems grew,

there

was

a

need

to

improve

the

way

payments

were

collected

from

users.

A

few

enterprising

ISVs

came

up

with

the

idea

of

using

then-popular

900

number

services

to

handle

payments

from

users.

Logicom

was

one

of

the

ISVs

who

produced

such

a

product

and

service.

Quick

Credit

900

allowed

users

to

call

a

900

number

for

a

charge

of

$10.00

or

$25.00

(depending

on

the

service

agreement),

and

were

given

a

code

to

enter

online

for

instant

access.

's

success

in

this

field

led

to

the

development

of

iBill

(The

Internet

Billing

Company),

the

company

founded

by

[

Don

Arnel

|DonArnel]

and

his

brother

Tim,

which

produced

products

and

services

to

help

web

sites

accept

payment.

h2. Module Information The Quick Credit 900 Service can be used to obtain instant membership and/or access to pay services on this system. The charge for calling will be either ten ($10) or twenty-five ($25) dollars, depending on which 900 number you call, and will appear on your phone bill. You must be 18 years or older, or have parental permission to use this service. When you call you will be asked to enter a System ID number using the buttons on your touch tone phone. After you have entered the System ID number, you will be given a Redemption Code. Make sure you have a pencil and paper ready to write with, It will only be repeated once! Your Redemption Code may then be used to purchase online time and other membership options the next time you log onto the BBS.
