Blox

History

Don Arnel knew a good thing when he saw it. And he saw that users and Sysops alike enjoyed ANSI games in an arcade style, and that they were willing to play Major BBS adaptations of BBS Door games and other computer games. Because the game Tetris was capturing the world's attention, he created a Tetris-like game for The Major BBS in late 1990.

Game Information

BloX is a fast-paced arcade style game. Users try to fit the falling shapes together to form solid rows across a chute to score points. Features ANSI graphics and sound effects. BloX is similar to the popular game "Tetris".

Gameplay

Blox is very easy to play. The screen is divided into three vertical segments. The first shows the game logo and instructions for keypad control of shapes as they fall. Shapes can be rotated left or right, flipped, or moved left, right, or down. They may also be dropped immediately with the spacebar. All controls are on the numeric keypad for easy play. The middle segment shows the game board, and the right segment shows your score.
