h2. History

Another of the earlier single-player [Logicom] titles, Yahtzee was one of two Yahtzee games for [The Major BBS|gcomm:TheMajorBBS] (the other was from [Tessier Technologies|TessierTechnologies]). Yahtzee eventually featured nice ANSI dice, and was sold for a reasonable price.

Yahtzee was sold to [Soft Arts|SoftArts] in 1997.

h2. Game Information

Our electronic version of the popular dice game! Players roll simulated dice to form combinations of numbers to score points. Uses ANSI graphics to display the dice if the users configuration is set up for an IBM or compatible machine, otherwise, ASCII text graphics are used. A top 10 list lets players compete for high scores.

h2. Gameplay

Like most games from the 1987-1990 time frame, Yahtzee was a text-based game which used a command line and game prompts to effect gameplay.
