MUD Games

The first "MUD" was a multi-user version of "Dungeon", which later became the basis for Infocomm's Zork I, II, and III. Therefore, early MUDs were text adventure games, now known as interactive fiction. Most Mudders now, though, think of text-based role-playing games (RPGs) when they think MUD, where characters gain experience and the game never truly ends.

Crossroads of the Elements

Crossroads is a fantasy adventure game based in a far, far past when man was at one with the elements.  And the elements were not at one with each other!  The four elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water are the sources of all magical energy.  As a player in Crossroads, you choose one of the elements to follow.  You can practice with magic and become a deadly sorcerer, or use weapons and armor to become a fierce warrior.  Undecided?  You can split magic and physical abilities as much as you want.

Erotica

InFiNiTy CoMpLeX

It's Back! One of the most sought-after and most played games for the MBBS/WG platform, InFiNiTy CoMpLeX is a game where the player collects weaponry and weapons parts and tries to avoid being killed by the Commies who roam the complex screaming insane things. Players can form teams and claim team rooms. Players who do not exit in a team or player room will roam the complex themselves. Lost Caverns (a/k/a MUD Magic)

Not necessarily a MUD game as much as a MUD construction Kit - allows you to build a MUD from the ground up, and assign users abilities to add rooms, weapons, monsters, and more - all of the aspects of a MUD game. Tele-Arena

The original true MUD for the Galacticomm platform, and one of the most popular and sought after MUD even to this day! Tele-Arena is a classic swords and sorcery role playing game where players and monsters battle for treasure and glory. (Formerly Sean Ferrell/Sourceror's Guild). Produced in partnership with ArcticZone. 

Tele-Arena II

The sequel to the original Tele-Arena, featuring a new, smaller world and a new interface. (Formerly Sean Ferrell/Sourceror's Guild).  Produced in partnership with ArcticZone.

New Tele Arena Projects

Through a partnership with ArcticZone, new Tele-Arena games will be released.  A game engine, plus some different styles of play, will be among these.

Wilderlands II

The sequel to the original WilderLands! This is the most dynamic and enthralling RPG available. Includes the ability to add rooms, items, and monsters online. In addition you have the ability to to use our proprietary programming language to create quests, and manipulate virtually any game objects, and attributes. ANSI RPG Games

ANSI RPG Games are similar to MUDs in that they're role-playing games. The difference is that they have a small ANSI screen with either a still image, or an ANSI screen used for navigation around the world! This brings more visual stimulation to the traditional MUD.

Assignment: Wallstreet

Assignment: WALLSTREET is a multi-faceted FULL SCREEN ANSI adventure game that fuses adventure with the world of high finance and strategy.  There are over 350 rooms to explore throughout the city. The city is divided into 5 areas - shopping/airport district, hotel district, uptown district, downtown/business district, and the central park. 

All users start out as a struggling graduate seeking to make it big. After exploring the city and gathering clues a user can become a stockbroker with several hours of time invested.  The user must then become a 'great stockbroker' and gain the knowledge to run their own company as a CEO.

Legends: In Search of Dragons

Legends is a Role Playing game engine which leaves you in charge of creating your own world. It features 1/4 screen ANSI overhead views, with test descriptions. Includes the ability to add rooms monsters, and items online. In addition, you can create scripts which can help in creating your own quests and scenerios. (Written by Mike Polzin. Oltima 2000: The Quest for the Holy Grail

A half-screen ANSI RPG, Oltima 2000 has the player searching for and ultimately battling the 7 dragons who stole pieces of the city of Cardonia's Holy Grail. There are over 20 worlds and 1000 NPCs. (Written by Yannick Tessier. Formerly Tessier Technologies)

Worlds of Darkness

Worlds of Darkness is a very advanced graphical RPG. It was nearly complete at the time of the ISV's demise. We aim to finish it and bring it to market, finally. More information will become available at a later date. (Written by Jeff Lawton and Ralph Trynor. Formerly GraphicWares/Wizard Software)

Interactive Fiction Games

Interactive Fiction is the new term for text adventure games. These are similar to MUDs in interface, but differ in that they have a set solution, and can be "solved". More of the focus is on puzzle solving rather than battle.

Peyennuu Series

This series of games is set in the world of Peyennuu. They are among the very first adventure games developed for the platform.

Quest for Magic

Sorcerer's Isle

Fazuul

Thinking of taking a vacation?

Well, you were, and then something happened.  As a seasoned intergalactic traveler, you are accustomed to the occasional hyperspace grid interlock, or matter-transmitter hiccup.

But this is something else entirely!  You were just beaming down to FAZUUL, playground pleasure planet of the galactic elite, when all of a sudden the vortex cannonballed, the goonplasm deflated, and the freplishers skrank out. You are left standing on the tarmac in front of a large, deserted alien city.

The welcoming committee is absent.  The vacationland spa hosts and hostesses have all mysteriously disappeared.  You have reached FAZUUL, all right, but your vacation is over, and your nightmare has just begun.

You have arrived on FAZUUL, a lush pleasure planet discovered years ago by a number of shipwrecked space captains.  At the time of its discovery, FAZUUL was a harsh, forbidding world of intense dry heat and endless rolling sand dunes.  Now, however, through the miracles of kwish-age engineering, FAZUUL has been transformed into a beautiful leisure paradise, fully equipped with all of the essentials of the up-to-date resort planet.

Due to a quantum fluctuation of the void, however, the entire tourist mass transit system on FAZUUL has been incapacitated.  Vacationers can beam in but they can't beam back out!

Or can they?  As a marooned vacationer on this paradise planet, you and your fellow marooned vacationers may be able to figure out the alien technology lying around, pool your resources and knowledge, and find a way to escape. Or, if you like, you can spend your time playing the various Galactic games that have been installed as part of the resort's facilities, such as Foon-Ball and Umflungoo.  Or, you are free to just explore around, talk with other players, fight with them, or whatever you like!

FAZUUL is an iconic game for many reasons. It pre-dated The Major BBS. It was built by Tim Stryker in 1984 for an online game system called ENTERNET that allowed multiple users to play a single game. Stryker wanted to remake it into a module for The Major BBS and had it running on versions as early as Major BBS 3.05, but was constrained by copyright issues. This led to Stryker working with Don Arnel to create ZORGON, and with Scott Brinker to create Quest for Magic. Fortunately, Stryker was able to release the game with Galacticomm. Kyrandia

You will travel to the world of Kyrandia, a fairy tale land of magic and mystery, realm of the beautiful and powerful goddess of Kyrandia, Tashanna, the "Lady of Legends."  Here, you begin as a young apprentice from a small village who seeks to grow in knowledge, wisdom, and power, with high hopes of being granted the title of "Arch-Mage of Legends" -- the mightiest wizard of Kyrandia!  To achieve your goal, you must cross the lands of Kyrandia, face unknown perils, solve mystical enigmas, battle rivalrous mages, and conqueror your own mind, body, and soul.

Time has stood still for too long on Kyrandia -- now is the time for one mage to rise above and master the powers of sorcery and magic.

NOTE: Yes, the game Legend of Kyrandia and its sequels by Westwood Studios were based upon this game. Westwood never received approval to use the name or descriptions, nor did they pay Galacticomm any royalties. There was pending litigation that did not follow through because of the company's financial state at the time.
