h2. Background and History
Moonshae Telecomm was the first third-party developer for [The Major BBS|gcomm:TheMajorBBS]. Founded in 1987 by [Scott Brinker|gcomm:ScottBrinker], a personal friend of [Tim Stryker|gcomm:TimStryker], the company started writing some of the most ambitious add-ons for [The Major BBS|gcomm:TheMajorBBS] - the adventure games. Moonshae developed nine (and a half!) adventure games during the period 1987 through 1990. In addition, [Brinker|gcomm:ScottBrinker] and [Stryker|gcomm:TimStryker] worked together on [Quest for Magic|QuestForMagic], the first adventure game written specifically for [The Major BBS|gcomm:TheMajorBBS], in 1986. This game, and followers [Quest for Sorcery|QuestForSorcery] and [Quest for Sorcery II|QuestForSorceryII], were the basis for many future games of the style. [Quest for Magic|QuestForMagic] was the first of a series of games set in the world of Peyennuu - Moonshae's [Quest of the Alchemists|QuestOfTheAlchemists] and [Alchemy II:The Hangover|AlchemyIITheHangover] followed. Moonshae also developed other games - top notch Pol/Econ and simulations, board games, and single player games. And to top it off, the company developed several useful utilities. The company was renamed Galactic Innovations in 1990, and was acquired by [Galacticomm|gcomm:Home] on December 31, 1990. By then, several of the Innovations were directly incorporated into [The Major BBS|gcomm:TheMajorBBS] and the [Entertainment Edition|gcomm:EntertainmentEdition]. Unfortunately, many of the add-ons stopped being marketed after the sale.
