Adventure Writer's Toolkit

History

The Adventure Writer's Toolkit was the first add-on game engine for The Major BBS. It allowed creative people who didn't have access to programmers or the money to license a previously written source code platform the ability to create a multi-user interactive text adventure game.

The Toolkit was produced for The Major BBS version 5.20 and later. It's unclear if more than MBM's Legend of Elyth-Gor was ever produced from it.

The Toolkit takes care of managing the databases, the players, the multitasking, and the background events. It handles over 200 action commands, and the interaction between the players. It handles the item management, the hints and tips, the timed events, and most every other base function.
