Electronic Fairways

History

Electronic Fairways is one of the earliest Logicom add-ons, and, one of the earliest for The Major BBS. A small module designed to fit easily into the tight memory restrictions of the v5.x systems, Electronic Fairways was an easy, inexpensive addition for any system.

Electronic Fairways was, like most Logicom products, sold to Soft Arts in 1997.

Game Information

Enjoy 18 holes of golf at your own pace! No one to laugh at you for landing one into a tree or water hole. Course features many different obstacles such as sand traps, ponds, rough areas, and trees. Choose from a variety of club sizes for the best shot. A Par-Masters top 10 list lets players compete for high scores.

Gameplay

Electronic Fairways is a text based golf simulation. As such, the game is played through a serious a prompts relevant to the situation (e.g., what club, swing strength, etc). The game is single-player, but allows for competition through a top ten list.
