NMODS Expander Kit
History
Versions of The Major BBS up to and including v5.x came with a module limit of 20 modules per compile and link of the BBS. In other words, Sysops could only have 20 different modules compiled into the system at once, including the modules that shipped with the BBS itself. This did not leave much room for big expansion.
So Don Arnel of Logicom decided to do something about it, and released this source patch kit to break the 20 module barrier.
Note: NMODS refers to the #define constant of the same name that defined the maximum number of modules possible. With The Major BBS v6 and beyond, this kit was unnecessary as modules could be added without recompiling the BBS, and had no low limit.
BREAK THE 20 MODULE LIMIT! Logicom announces the NMODS Expander Kit for The Major BBS. With this kit you can DOUBLE the number of modules you can run on your BBS for a total of 40 modules. Module usage, shown on the statistics screen by pressing function key F9 from the main console screen, displays usage information for modules 0 through 19. Just press PGDN for modules 20 to 39. You can toggle back and forth between the two with PGUP and PGDN. Installation program makes all the necessary changes to your existing code so all you have to do is re-compile.
